This is a product after reading countless winglin-YunJae fictions...BEWARE! D:
Title: Oh Cliché Life
Pairing: YunJae
Warnings: OOC, cliché stuff
Disclaimer: this is pure fiction. I don't make any profit with this.

"All YunJae ever wanted was to be happy..."

Oh Cliché Life

A rich and arrogant yunho, who is super popular meets a shy and poor Jaejoong- the geek.

Yunho's idiot friends agree on a bet: is it possible for casanova-Yunho to win and then break shy-Jaejoong's heart? The bet is on. Yunho wins over Jaejoong's insecure heart after lots and lots of chapters. But right when Yunho realizes that he loves Jaejoong -truly and not because of the bet- Jaejoong get's raped by an angry Siwon, who forever ago was in love with Jaejoong and now wants to have the pretty boy for himself.

Yunho catches Siwon and Jaejoong right that one moment Siwon is forcing himself over poor Jae's drugged or/and weak body -and misunderstands.

"Oh...Jae....cheated on me! That slut....that whore...he played me..."

Yunho walks away, feeling betrayed and broken. Next day at school he coldly ignores Jaejoong, who is tired and broken and traumatized...but when the boy cries and wants to touch Yunho for comfort, Yunho slaps him and calls him a dirty whore.

Jaejoong is beyond devastated and runs home, planning to commit suicide. As he cuts his wrist and slowly bleeds away, his best friend and cousin Junsu finds him and calls an ambulance. At the hospital, after he got treatment, Jae learns that not only did he survive by a miracle, but that he is three month pregnant too.

Meanwhile Yunho learns from a very anxious Yoochun (who secretly is in love with Junsu) that Jaejoong is at a hospital, because -and this information was given by Junsu (who secretly loves Yoochun)-  he tried to kill himself, because Siwon had raped him.

"Oh...oh no....oh no...Joongie....I....I called him a whore, when actually he was only raped..."

Yunho rushes to the hospital, where he and Jae make up with lots of tears and: "I love yous/I forgive yous/sorrys/and blahblah".

Yunho then learns that Jae is pregnant and they decide to marry. Their parents like that idea and start preparing the wedding which will be held in two days.
Yunho and Jaejoong decide to name their kid Joongie/Yunnie/YunJae. the end.

Under some mysterious circumstances Jaejoong loses his memory and leaves his husband and son. He becomes Siwon's boyfriend, who tells him that they have been together their whole life long.

Meanwhile Yunho- the devastated husband- listens to an old fortuneteller on his way back home from work, who suggests that he searches himself a new wife. Yunho finds his new love in Heechul/some SNSD girl/Seul Gi, who seems very nice on the outside but is a total bitch on the inside AND works with Siwon to forever separate Yunho and Jaejoong.

But mysteriously- in a million-city like Seoul, Jaejoong meets his son and forms some kind of bound with him in a few minutes, which eventually leads to Yunho and Jaejoong meeting again. Yunho is sure that Jae is his long lost wife, but Jaejoong insists that he does not know Yunho, that he is Siwon's (by now) fiancee.

Yunho returns back home broken and sets up a date for his wedding with Heechul/SNSD-girl/Seul Gi while Jaejoong meets that old fortune-teller and gains back his memory. In a matter of a few sentences, Jaejoong stands in front of Yunho's home and tells him that he's his wife- Yunho though, doesn't believe him anymore, since Heechul/SNSD-girl/Seul Gi told him about a man that looks just like Jaejoong, but who in fact is a gold-digging-whorish-slut.

Yunho slaps Jaejoong right in front of his house and tells him to never come and see him again. Jaejoong is heartbroken and devastated, but just when he is about to take his life, YooSu convince Yunho that Heechul/SNSD-girl/Seul Gi is evil and that Jaejoong is... well, Jaejoong.

Yunho runs through the night to save his beloved Jae from committing suicide (again)- it ends with both kissing each other deeply and deciding to marry again.

At the same time Heechul/SNSD-girl/Seul Gi and Siwon are raging with jealousy and in an desperate attempt try to separate/kill Jaejoong/Yunho with a knife. Yunho heroically takes them both down, but Jaejoong get's hurt and has to be hospitalized again.

In the end, when Heechul/SNSD-girl/Seul Gi and Siwon are locked behind bars, and after Jaejoong awakens from a dramatic coma in which he miraculously was able to hear Yunho crying over his motionless body, telling him how much he loves him and how sorry he is, YunJae marry and live happily together once again.

the end.

A/N: the tragedy of those winglin-fics I read is how absolutely cruel and stupid
Yunho behaves and treats Jaejoong, how he carelessly calls him a whore or/and a slut, how he
slaps and kicks and beats him- just because he feels like it, or because he thinks Jaejoong
(the forever loyal and self-sacrificing one) cheated on him. It's really beyond me how the girls
who write this stuff can find it right and romantic when the "man" (Yunho) rightfully beats the
"woman" (Jaejoong) just because he feels like it. And even worse is Jaejoong's always
submissive and devote reaction to it: Crying and apologizing to Yunho, becoming his slave
to gain forgiveness, doing everything for Yunho's happiness even though Jaejoong almost always
knows that he isn't actually at fault.

oh man. girls. don't you have some self-respect? :/

I feel bad about this. only cause I too have seen the repeats of the same story with Yunjae. As a result I don't read random authors for DBSK anymore. It's sad and I may miss out on good stories but I won't do it. I have enough good authors out there writing stuff to entertain me on a regular basis so I don't need to see or read about Yunjae doing the same damn thing over and over in a destructive and bitter relationship. That to me makes Zero sense.
[identity profile] abcdefghiluvyou.livejournal.com on July 27th, 2011 02:05 pm (UTC)
I pretty much read randomly and I must say most fanfictions here on
lj are really good :) I don't care that much about writing-quality,
even authors with not that great language-skills have great plots
and interesting character-development. I am not against cliché either,
since I like to write it too...but the fics on winglin -I mean the
ones I read...are really something else! :(
[identity profile] min7girl.livejournal.com on July 27th, 2011 04:59 pm (UTC)
I don't mind cliche. I mind repeated cliche though. and cliche without a new point to prove is so boring I can't even begin to describe how much I want to bang my brain against something.

I randomly read anything from any fandom on LJ and find many things I like, but I can't do it with DBSK fics anymore. There is too much content and the majority of it is the same story you just told about Yunjae. And my brain explodes 5 minutes into reading and I want to hit someone.
[identity profile] abcdefghiluvyou.livejournal.com on July 27th, 2011 05:14 pm (UTC)
yeah...this is why most YunJae fictions and authors
hurt my brain. Though I can tell you that there are more
awesome YunJae writers out there than you know ;) they kiss
the pain away and make it all better so to say haha ♥

hmn I could pm you some really awesome authors...especially
if you are not only reading YunJae, but knowing that you
followed my MinChun you seem to be open for various couples
hmn? :)

Please send me links!!!! I always take recs. and I like all pairings so long as the story is good.

it's more than okay to love this masterpiece ♥ ;D

I guess what bothers me about those types of fics is the lack of understanding of real life issues.
The majority of the time when I see writing like this I assume the author does not understand homosexuality or the way that relationships work.
I sometimes despise the way masculinity and reason is taken away from Jaejoong even though I know what I'm reading is fiction.
It irks me sometimes when I go through winglin and LJ and see the same overused, boring, and typical plot used over and over.
If I have to read another high school fic or abuse fic like the ones you've mentioned, I'm just gonna give up on YunJae fics all together.

This is why I am a huge fan of your writing.
Your plots are original and unique.
You give your characters a lot of depth without ignoring the story line.
There are no plot holes and you use great adjectives to support the imagery you've presented.
I love your writing because it paints the most vivid pictures in my mind.

Sorry for the long rant/comment darling.
[identity profile] abcdefghiluvyou.livejournal.com on July 29th, 2011 12:28 pm (UTC)
yeah. they have an interesting imagination, but it seems like they
can't think logically. as in how the actions of a character
would logically influence other characters and the whole plot. but is
it really that hard??? If I was in love with a jerk (yunho/Yoochun) who'd
hit me, I'd never turn into a submissive idiot working hard to gain his approval!
So, is it really that hard to imagine your own reaction, combine it with the
given character of Jae/Junsu/whoever and write in a way it makes sense??? I just
don't get it. even though they write all this for drama's sake, the drama is such
such a pain in the ass if it's based on such shallow and stupid acts.
I don't mind cliché stories with and overly girly Jae and a very jerky-manly Yunho
-when there is an interesting plot to back it up. but those stories on wingling...
they are just something else.

I'll not give up on fanfics, because there are far too many good writers out here :)
and...you make me blush! but I really did not post this in here to make myself look better :'DD

/love your rants babes ♥

WOW i guess that somebody just got OWNED :-p

Sers i've tried W too,and most YunJae and also some YooSu has Y/Y as strong, egoist and fucking stupid character while J/J is weak, girly, utturly devoted and sub to Y/Y, and even if the AU changes the concept is always the same Y/Y is in a power position while J/J is an underline.Am much more happy on LJ i stalk a few AWSOME WRITERS and a lot of comms,so i've better things to read and different gen^^

Your author notes say everything. I think is beyond the fanfiction (bad fanfiction) what bothers me, but the implicit misogyny behind it.
Not only jaejoong is stripped of all masculinity (what shows a lack of understanding of homosexual relationships), but the type of stories you address pretty much justify abuse in the name of “love”.
I don’t mind dark themes, I love them, but I do mind the lack of dept and the way social issues are taken as nothing serious.
[identity profile] abcdefghiluvyou.livejournal.com on July 29th, 2011 12:17 pm (UTC)
yes, that's the most disturbing thing in those fics. how they write abuse so carelessly and use
drama so stupidly without actually thinking about what they write. I know most authors are
young girls and really unexperienced, but I think even when you are twelve (and lets be honest most
of them should be around 14-19 ) you have to know that abuse isn't something
to talk/write carelessly about.

Actually I didn't even know about winglin until I started to read DBSK fics ... can be find jrock-fics there too at all?
So I tried to read one, but it was something very disappointing and I lost my patience after a few sentences - never tried to read there anything again.

But now that LJ was down and yesterday was my 4th day of dying from boredom on my way home on the train, for a second I played with the thought to give it another try... at the end I didn't go that far, stayed by simply listening to music.

(And why does Siwon get always the roles of these kind of bad guys in this cliche-fics, why can't they write him as a cool-bad guy or at least more a worthy rival of Yunho... although those Yunho-characters seem also very far from perfect. I hate it!)

[identity profile] abcdefghiluvyou.livejournal.com on July 29th, 2011 12:09 pm (UTC)
to be honest I read jrock fanfictions at online
archives back in 2002- but most of them closed
or shut down one by one, so I switched to lj
somewhen around 2004...ish....I doubt winglin
has a lot of jrock fanfictions, but tbh I am
not too sure since I never took time to check :'D

I only went to winglin because of lj's breakdown
-and to be fair: not ALL winglin fics are horrible,
but most of those I happened to read followed that
one pattern I described haha :'D

( don't really know why Siwon. maybe because he kind
gives this kind of superior vibe just as Yunho does? or
because they are a bit alike? just as heechul and jae are
always described to be ...similar? :'D but idk)

LOL You know the sequel sounds awfully alot like forever as one. But you are completely right about all the cliches. FOR SOME REASON, the whole amnesia thing is just everywhere. Once or twice, though, only on LJ the amnesia is not completely over made to sound like crap. But anyways, that whole abusive thing is everywhere too. I mean I did that thing with kangsoo bit there's no way I'll make it completely unreal and have jaejoong get over everything quickly. I do wish people would try to be a little bit more creative.
Haha I'm actually glad you posted this >.< cause it's the truth :)
[identity profile] abcdefghiluvyou.livejournal.com on July 30th, 2011 12:05 am (UTC)
...forever as what? D: ...I'm not even sure if I read it or
not by now. everything pretty much blurred and melted together
into one terrible cliché-soup DDD:

I never read anything on lj that I truely disliked. but after
the 83839203883st wingling fanfiction I was ready to burn that
place. I Know there must be awesome stuff too, but it
seems like I only managed to click open awful stuff DDD:
[identity profile] takelo14.livejournal.com on July 30th, 2011 12:40 am (UTC)
I know =_= the cliches are just overshadowing everything else ...
Lol and on a more random note, do you happen to know any good minjae/ jaemin fics? I'm kinda running out of jaemin things to read and yunjae... Let's not talk about them right now =_= I've had too much yunjae to read...

one of my forever favorite authors is: http://radioheading.livejournal.com/

Feels like reading many fics at once xD (hope mine's not in one of this!) some sorta nostalgia. But the whole point is, I'm reading a rant! Your sick rant! XD I'm actually quite fed up with those stereotypes of Yun and Jae that people kept writing in many fics. Like reading a written soap opera d'oh. Both are men. Just, try to write it better and try to be different.

Amazing story and I really can agree with you about lacking of self-respect. But as for me I love abusing stories because sometimes you can do everything just to save your relationship. But I hate when after many abuses, both physical and mental, woman-Jaejoong is still willing to be with his man-Yunho without any changes in their relationship. I would like to see some story where woman would be run away from her man with someone more willing to make her happy. Or I want her to actually seek some help among her friends, parents, layers and police. Rapists must be punished IRL so I can't stand all the miserableness of woman's position.

TROLOLLLOLOLOLOOLOOOOO forever. I must admit that I sometimes go on winglin fic binges and even though most of the stories are cringe-worthy and mortifying, I just can't stop myself. I don't know if it's the steady diet of Asian dramas I was made to watch as a child, but part of me finds it oddly satisfying when jaejoong gets amnesia and yunho has to win him back/jaejoong gets wronged then vindicated.
I think cliches in itself arent bad at all and can often be quite interesting to read when well-executed, but the major flaw in a lot of the winglin fics is that...yunho and jaejoong aren't themselves at all. The author could change the names of the two leads and this wouldnt affect the flow of the story. It's this same blunt ooc-ness that makes yunho so stupid and such an arse and jaejoong so so...weak. I think it would be amazing to see you re-write these cliches for real and in all seriousness in a way that would do yunjae justice. Maybe then I wouldnt have to resort to bad!fic so often ;)

Ha... I'm actually writing something similar to what you're going on about (even though I'm dead freaking seriously about to trash it & start the fuck over b/c it is not turning out how I wanted it!!!!), so... hm, self-respect? *shrugs* No. I guess I don't.
What can I say? I guess some of us like abuse fics where pretty little Jaejoong is the battered, helpless, submissive wife, controlled by his dominating, possessive husband...
Kink, darling, it's all about the kink. *leers*

Your mock-fic was freaking hilarious though.

i read your slave-jaejoong fic and it's fantastic -made
you will update it soon, right???? :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

i need Jaejoong to warm up to Yunho and and and i want Yunho
to take Jae with him for shopping and do many many more sweet

This angsty story is nothing.
See any other kdrama or soap opera or romance novel and usually the "hero" stalks, mistreats, distruts, whatever and the "dame" just takes it and takes it waiting for happy ending.

One of the last times I saw a soap opera had this classic which I totally hate: the good guy and the bad guy after the good girl, bad girl after good guy teams up with bad boy, further down the story even after good guy takes the good girl v card and there have already been countless situations where he should know she loves him and cares nothing for bad guy, when she becomes pregnant, he goes and actually asks her - who is the father - just because someone said something or he saw them in the same room (not necessary for more, this level of crazy jealousy works with just in the same room); flash forward and I am supposed to believe that after the last episode they will live happily ever after and he will start to treat her well and trust her. Hello? Nope, not gonna happen. If they showed the future you would find some women afraid of crazy jealous mad husband that beats her because other men happen to live in the same city.

And it's supposedly a romantic story.

The stories that really give me the creeps are the sadistic one's, but... well.... whatever.
